Cheam Sutton Carshalton and Epsom Mobile Sports Massage Therapist Theo Becomes a Finalist in The Sutton Business Awards

In November 2013 Sutton Cheam Carshalton and Epsom Mobile Sports Massage Therapist Theo became a Finalist in The Sutton Business Awards for Best Business for Health and Well Being. 

Only five businesses out of hundreds of Businesses in Sutton made it to the final where they all celebrated at the Croydon Hilton on the Purley Way.

Epsom Wimbledon Sutton Purley Ewell Mobile Massage Therapist Theo Enjoys The 1st Sutton Complementary Health Network Get Together After The Summer Break In Carshalton Surrey

Mobile Massage Therapist Theo Theodoris who has been massaging clients in their own home’s for the last twenty two years enjoyed their first Get Together of The Sutton Complementary Health Network after the Summer Break in Carshalton Surrey. Fifteen Therapists in the Sutton, Epsom, Stoneleigh, Croydon, Coulsdon, Worcester Park, Purley, Wallington and Surrey Area exchanged working and marketing ideas. It is always a great boost talking to fellow Therapists  about working practices, supporting and helping each other out.

Just recently the Group put on a Taster Therapy Session in the Carshalton Memorial Gardens as part of the Olympic Torch Bearing Day. Donations were sort for Therapy Treatments. The day managed to raise £78 which will go to help buy specialized equipment at The Neonatal Unit at St Helier Hospital Carshalton Surrey.

Surrey Mobile Massage Therapist Theo Theodoris has his First Experience with a Client with Motor Neurone Disease (MND)

For the last four weeks Sutton Surrey based Mobile Massage Therapist Theo Theodoris has been Massaging a client with Motor Neurone Disease (MND). You may ask, “What is Motor Neurone Disease (MND)”

Motor Neurone Disease (MND) is a progressive neurodegenerative disease that attacks the upper and lower motor neurones. Degeneration of the motor neurones leads to weakness and wasting of muscles, causing increasing loss of mobility in the limbs, and difficulties with speech, swallowing and breathing.

Theo and the client know massage with not cure the  MND, but can see the difference it has made in just four weeks. It has improved his mobility, stiffness, motivation and mind set. On the first visit the client was quite stiff and in some pain. On the second visit we changed the sequence of the Massage, which worked a lot better. We now know what time periods to work on certain parts of the body. We always leave the back to last, as this makes the client thoroughly relaxed and drift off.

Theo enjoys seeing his client weekly and still is totally amazed after all these years how a simple Massage can do so much for anyone, immaterial of what condition they might be.  A lot of Theo’s home Massage clients enjoy the effects of a Full Body Massage on both a physical and mental state.

Theo, who has been qualified for over 18 years now was booked at The Family Centre New Addington Croydon for a two hour slot and carried out 6 back, neck and shoulder massages for 6 young Mums. Some of them have never had a massage before. Theo provided his own massage couch, towels and oil.  Each mum was required to fill out a consultation form before their massage. This was for health reasons and so Theo could tailor their own personal massage.

Mobile Massager Masseur carries out Onsite Chair Massages at Woodlands Children’s Centre – Gilbert Scott School in Croydon

Eight mums were treated by Mobile Massager Theo Theodoris for a back, neck and shoulder massages.  This group of mums meet once a week to discuss and exchange baby issues and at the same time arrange treats for themselves.
